Hot rolled steel bars are reduced from billets and rolled into round, square, hexagonal, and flat shapes. The material can be used in the creation of many things, including bolts, fasteners, hydraulic pipes, fittings, gear blanks, and more.
There are many advantages to hot rolled steel bar. Hot rolled steel bars are often used in forging and machining applications in their as-rolled condition. Additionally, it’s less expensive to manufacture than other steel bar applications.
1010 steel is stronger than 1008 and generally used in critical applications.
This variation of steel bar possesses excellent formability, as well as welding and machining properties.
