1006 carbon steel wire rod is made of low-carbon steel. This wire rod grade possesses excellent formability for a variety of applications. It offers good bending and weldability properties and is most often used in fencing, concrete pipe, wire cloth, nails and other lower-end fasteners as well as other low-strength applications.
